Media Theory

One media theory I want to include in my film opening project is diegetic off-screen, in the begging of my flim opening I want it to be a black screen with sound in the background but the audience can not see it yet, I feel like this is perfect for my genre because since thrillers have mystery elements in it, and later on in the film opening there is gonna be more mystery I think its a good idea to start with something the audience can't see but they can hear.

Another media theory I want to include is by Roland Barthes and it is called Enigma code which is when information is being withheld to develop mystery. This applies to my film opening because at the end there will be a note passed to the main character that she reads and has a dramatic reaction to, however the audience can not see it quite yet. This leads to the media theory of Action code because it is causing the audience to wonder what comes next. Hence why it will be at the very end of the film opening.

Another one is Todorv's theory-Equilibrium, I want to use this because I want my character to be introduced in the very beginning to show good vibes and how the main character is a naturally bubbly person and then the contrast of the mood when it gets set off after getting in to the car and secrets begin to creep up.
